Marci has been in love with food for as long as she can remember. Growing up in a very large Italian family, food was synonymous with everything good in life. It was in the kitchen where she learned some of her most important life’s lessons such as, how to use food to communicate, comfort, and show love for one another ~ the true meaning of hospitality.
Family values also included the importance of combining business and passion. Following in her father’s footsteps, Marci gained the education and experience necessary to lead and financially manage, both non-profit and for-profit companies, including an organic food company and a multi-unit hospitality company.
Marci is also a columnist for LUX Lifestyle Magazine where she writes two columns; The Power of Food and The Chef’s Table. Marci’s likes to say her first language is food and she speaks and writes fluently in it.
Marci’s business and management skills allow her to navigate the complexities of combining passion and business to promote sustainability and growth. She is excited to bring both this passion, and experience to Artisan in West Hartford, CT. To her, it is a place with all of the values, standards, and philosophies of home.
